A retired yacht trader, Nathan’s drumming style brings “bone-crunching mayhem funk” in the vein of such drumming virtuosos as Dennis Chambers, Chad Smith, and Bryan Mantia. Nathan has been drumming for 30 years in bands ranging from punk rock, metal, and hip hop, to jazz, britpop, and bluegrass. Angelo discovered Nathan while brokering a deal for Alex Van Halen’s baby booties and invited Nathan to drum on his solo album, Datura. After promptly vibraslapping Angelo’s mindbrain during the Datura sessions, Nathan joined the Good Trip Band in 2022. As an expert in power relationships, Nathan knows how to lay in the pocket and compliment Mike’s groove while dripping sauce over Angelo and Tom’s tasty licks.
